When I started as a high school teacher in rural Arkansas, I had a tough principal, Dr.G, who rarely gave constructive feedback and often undermined my authority. At the time, my students remained unmotivated and behaviorally disruptive. I struggled to get them to retain lessons, and we fell behind schedule.
